My name is André Luiz, I’m from São Paulo, Brazil, and I started skating at the age of seven, encouraged by my mother and my older brother. My first pair of skates was a simple SBCX with plastic wheels, but it was enough to spark a passion that has stayed with me ever since. In the beginning, I skated through the streets of my neighborhood, but soon I started pushing myself with tricks on ramps and handrails. Coming from an urban background, I naturally transitioned into aggressive inline skating, inspired by athletes such as Chris Farmer.

In 2006, I competed in my first championship, the Brazil Rolling Contest, which brought together around 170 athletes of all levels. I won first place in my debut, and from that point on, several regional titles followed, helping to establish my name in the scene.

In 2007, I was selected for the casting of Cirque du Soleil, but I chose not to move forward, as the role involved juggling while skating, which didn’t align with what I was seeking in the sport.

I later fulfilled a personal dream by working with skates at Koncept Inline, starting as a stock assistant and salesperson. Today, I’m happy to return to the brand as a collaborator and external reseller, further strengthening my connection to this world. Skating represents much more than just a sport to me. It has opened doors, allowed me to meet incredible people, travel to new places, win titles, and live unique experiences. My story on wheels is driven by passion, dedication, and the constant desire to keep evolving in what I love to do.
